We are proud to be celebrating our 17th Summer! Riverwood has been providing children 4-15 years with amazing outdoor country day camp experiences. Riverwood is a fun, safe and inclusive environment where each camper can grow in skill development, leadership and co-operation.

Eddy Bogomolny is the Founding Director of Camp Riverwood. Since its inception in 2007, Eddy has been actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the camp. Not only does he spend ten months of the year preparing and planning for camp, but each day of the summer he is on the grounds with the kids, getting to know everyone personally and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Lori Bogomolny is the second generation to run Camp Riverwood. Building on her father’s traditions and lifelong involvement in camping, Lori is dedicated to building a new generation of Riverwood campers and families. She takes pride in building personal relationships and is committed to ensuring that every camper, parent, and staff is having the best possible camp experience.
Phil Faibish has been in the camping industry for over two decades, having held numerous supervisory roles, including Director for the past 10 years at a Toronto-area day camp. He joined Riverwood in 2019 as Director, and is looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful Riverwood campers, staff and parents! Phil has a contagious energy, creative spirit and approachable nature and is well-known in the community for his commitment to providing campers with an unforgettable summer experience. CA has been a dedicated member of the Camp Riverwood and Camp Green Acres team for seven summers, and this upcoming summer will mark her third year as a director at Camp Riverwood. She is involved in all aspects of camp, from creating and overseeing programs to ensuring the success of both campers and staff. In the off-season, CA works in the camp office, handling a variety of tasks such as answering emails and calls, interviewing staff, registering campers, and planning exciting events for the summer ahead. With her extensive experience and commitment to excellence, CA is an invaluable asset to the camp and its community.
Megan Studiner, Associate Director and Consultant
Megan Studiner, Associate Director and Consultant
Megan joined us in 2021 with nearly 10 years of day camp experience, including a successful summer following all COVID-19 protocols at our sister camp, Camp Green Acres, in Markham. Megan is a graduate of a Masters in Child Studies and is looking forward to a career in teaching and education! She could not be more excited to be a part of the Riverwood team and connect with every camper and staff this coming summer.
Our team is here year round to help customize your child’s camp programs to ensure that you make the right decisions and choices.
Yan Liu (Grace) is our Manager of International Camp Programs. She is your direct contact to assist families sending children from overseas to experience Camp Green Acres. She can help families and friends with VISA applications, travel arrangements and accommodations. Our Facilities
Camp Riverwood’s superior camp facilities are second to none in Durham! Our summer camp is situated in a beautiful country setting, conveniently located in Pickering. Camp Riverwood is located at Petticoat Creek Conservation Area, on our own private sites. We have many scenic nature trails, washrooms and permanent exclusive shelters for our campers.
Many of our off-site optional specialty programs are located nearby including Rock Climbing, Tennis, Baseball and Swimming.
Parent Communication
Maintaining a connection with our camp families is extremely important to us. We understand that parents value timely and effective communication. Therefore, our friendly and knowledgeable Office staff, Head Staff and Directors are available anytime by phone and email to get your feedback, answer your questions or get an update on how your child is doing. Prior to the start of camp, the Office is open year-round to help you choose the best camp program for your child. In the spring, you will receive a Parent Handbook and an introductory email from your Head Staff.
